René Gabriel, "Type 100" beech table, France 1945.
René Gabriel put himself at the service of French Reconstruction from the 1940s, he designed furniture intended to be produced in large series, using local wood species such as oak, beech and fir. Completely removable to facilitate delivery, this so-called "disaster victim" furniture is full of ingenuity without ever forgetting René Gabriel's requirement to create beauty for everyone.
This table has undergone a complete restoration.
