Pierre Chapo (1927-1987), Pair of "Sahara" armchairs in blond elm and stitched Havana leather, France 1960. The backrest is swivel and the seat is stretched by a linen rope. The solid elm structure is assembled using a "48×72" key, the simplicity of the design and the quality of the cabinetmaking have made Ateliers Chapo famous.
These "S10B" armchairs are old editions, they were acquired by their former owner in the mid-1960s, Pierre Chapo's 33 rpm record "Chansons d'Atelier" is from the same source.
Very good condition.
