Pair of oak side tables, French Reconstruction 1950. Can be used at the end of the sofa or as bedside tables, these pretty tables have a cross-braced base, a belt drawer and a top adorned with a checkerboard veneer. The period of the French Reconstruction (1945-1955) is a founding moment of the style of the 50s, René Gabriel, Marcel Gascoin, Pierre Cruège among many other interior architects design furniture using local resources such as oak, simplification of forms and rationalization of space. This pair of tables is a good example.
